Natto Pasta Recipe

Making Natto Spaghetti is quick and very easy. The most difficult part is to boil the pasta πŸ™‚


120 g natto (3 packs)
1 spring onion
1-2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp salt
1 pack of spaghetti (500g)
optionally also mustard, katsuobushi (bonito flakes), nori seaweed

We will start with the pasta. Into boiling water add salt, spaghetti and boil for as long as it says on the package.

In the meantime, we will prepare the smelly beans in a larger bowl. Natto often comes with a little bit of mustard and a soy sauce-like seasoning. If yours doesn’t, add a bit of mustard and soy sauce yourself.

Then we also add one tablespoon of soy sauce and three spoons of olive oil. Chop the spring onion, add and mix it all together. When the pasta is ready, add it directly into the bowl, so that a the amount of water which comes with it, will become part of our sauce. Mix again and we can serve.

If you have some bonito flakes (katsuobushi), add them as a topping. You can also add some nori seaweed. And finally the most important thing: Don’t forget to have a good beer with this pasta. Cheers! And if you like this recipe don’t forget to share and subscribe.
